February has been full of science! We have been lucky enough to have Rick Bausman come in and teach us a bit about sound through drumming. The kids have been learning terms such as vibration, dynamics and communication.
We will be sharing what we have learned at our whole school community meeting on Friday February 19th.

We also ventured out to Felix Neck in snowy weather to search for signs of animals. We learned about what animals do in the winter time on the island. The kids learned about animals that migrate, are dormant, hibernate and stay active. The kids were super science detectives and found signs of deer, rabbits, raccoons, skunks and otters. It was a fun trip. We are hoping to go back in the spring to see what changes and what signs of animals we can find then!
